Products: Choose and Cut Christmas Trees: White Pine, Scotch Pine, Austrian Pine, Douglas-fir (Concolor Fir and Blue Spruce beginning in 2008) Fresh-made wreaths, tree stands, wreath hangers, bows, and farm made jams and jellies.
Elysium Tree Farm is owned and operated by Steve and Jo Satterfield. The farm offers beautiful views as it is located on a high hill in the southwestern mountains overlooking the Madison Valley to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our first trees were planted in 1982 and we are pleased to offer very high quality trees at moderate prices. We individually price our trees. Please call or e-mail for prices at least a day before your intended visit. We have met many wonderful people and look forward to seeing them at least once each year when they visit the farm to choose their next tree. And we look forward to meeting new wonderful people each year. We provide saws and twines. A portable toilet is provided for our customers. Our fields are well mowed. During the busy periods we have young people in the field to offer assistance cutting and transporting trees. We also offer complimentary spiced hot cider and sugar cookies (in the shape of a tree) to our customers. Trees can be netted for a small fee.
Farm Hours: Fridays (1PM until dark), weekends (9AM until dark) from Thanksgiving until Christmas or until sold out.
Directions: From Fredericksburg: Route 3 west to Route 20 south, cross Route 522, then immediate right on Everona Road (Route 617), runs into Clarks Mountain Road (Route 627), then about 3 miles to farm on left. Look for flag with Christmas Tree. From Orange: Main Street east becomes Rapidan Road (Route 615). Go about 5 miles after leaving town, right on Clarks Mountain Road (Route 627), then about 2.4 miles to farm on right (look for flag with Christmas tree). From Culpeper: South on Route 522 3-4 miles, then right on Rapidan Road (Route 615), go through Village of Rapidan and cross river, then about 1 mile to left on Clarks Mountain Road (Route 627), then about 2.4 miles to farm on right (look for flag with Christmas tree).
